When she and Speed kept talking about it, I actually bothered to look up and realized that she actually had a butterfly trapped between two cups! Jacob helped her set up a little enclosure to see if she could keep it alive but it died after a couple of days. After some research, we're pretty sure it was a painted lady butterfly, which has a pretty short lifespan anyway, so Hazel wasn't too sad when we explained that the butterfly would've died soon no matter what she had done.
